Devil's Destiny (Fallen Saints MC Book 1) Page 6
Saint manned his bar. His brother narrowed his eyes when he spotted Devil with Destiny tucked against him. Devil shook his head at Saint, a warning they’d have to delay their conversation later. Saint glowered at him, but Devil paid him no mind. Getting Destiny settled in was his number-one priority.
Destiny looked a little dazed as she took in the scene. She would adapt, Devil knew, because she was a chameleon, a survivor. She’d fit right in here like a glove. He shot a withering stare at Chrissy, one of the club whores he’d sometimes fucked. She wisely didn’t throw herself at him.
Devil climbed the stairs and ushered Destiny inside his room. He shut the door behind him. Blissful silence. It was his turn to watch her look around his personal space.
“How many women have you invited up here?” she asked him finally. Destiny sat on the edge of his bed. There were dark shadows under her eyes. She looked like she could use a couple of hours of downtime. So did he.
Devil focused on her question. Did she actually sound jealous? She’d probably noticed the club whores downstairs.
“None,” he said. Devil needed a shower to wash off all the grime and mud on his body, but they had to have this conversation first. “I won’t lie to you. I’ve had my share of women but none of them ever came up here.”
“Why is that?”
“Because this is my personal space. Maybe part of me knew I was waiting for you. My bride.”
“You were really serious about that?”
Devil didn’t like seeing his tough and beautiful goddess looking so insecure. He neared her and cupped her cheek, forcing her to look at him. He snuck a quick kiss on her mouth. “I’d never lie to you. Destiny, when I took you from Skull, I knew you were it for me. There’s no one else.”
“Even if there are plenty of pretty women downstairs?”
Devil laughed. “The club whores don’t mean shit to me.”
She hesitated. “Devil, are they here because they owe your MC a debt?”
Devil shook his head. “We don’t operate like the Skull Riders. The women downstairs are here voluntarily. They’re looking for a good time.”
“Okay.”
“Rest, Destiny. I’ll introduce you to everyone tomorrow, to my brothers and the other old ladies, the wives of the other bikers.”
Leaving her to curl up on his bed, Devil took a quick and hot shower. Exhaustion began to set in. All he wanted to do was lie next to Destiny in bed, but he still had to confront his brother. Devil put a fresh shirt and pants and exited the bathroom.
He found his woman snoozing in his bed. Devil couldn’t help but smile. He loathed to leave her, but Saint needed to hear what happened from his own lips. Crow probably told Saint his side of the story, but he owed his brother an explanation.
Devil left his room. He went back downstairs and spotted Crow nursing a beer by the bar, a club whore on his lap.
“You know where Saint is?” Devil asked.
“In his office.” Crow paused. “I only told him what he needed to know.”
Devil nodded. “I know. Thanks for backing me up earlier, brother.”
Devil took the stairs to the basement, where Saint’s office was located. Saint usually left the door open, but it was shut closed today. He knocked, then turned the knob. Saint sat behind their dad’s old and scarred mahogany desk, holding a cigar in one hand and a glass in another. Devil didn’t miss the opened bottle of vodka.
He closed the door behind him, prepared to tell his brother how he might’ve just screwed up everything.
Chapter Eleven
Saint said nothing after Devil finishing telling him his tale. His brother poured himself another glass of vodka and downed it in a single gulp. Devil grabbed a glass and poured himself a drink. The liquid burned down his throat. At least Saint hadn’t lashed out at him. Yet.
There was only one casualty from his mission, after all. They hadn’t received any threatening phone calls from Skull, but he had a feeling Skull would soon make inquiries. Devil went over the cleanup in his head again. Crow and he did a decent job. There weren’t witnesses either. Skull would have a hard time proving he was the killer.
“She’s young and pretty, sure, but was one woman really worth all this trouble?” Saint finally asked him.
Devil didn’t hesitate in answering. “Hell, yeah. No matter how times I try to explain it to you, you won’t understand.”
His brother would need to be in his shoes to understand his point of view. Sure, Saint had Bonnie, his seventeen-year-old daughter, but Saint had never been in love, not really. Bonnie’s mother had been a club whore who left right after giving birth to Bonnie.
“What’s your take on Skull?” Saint finally asked him. “How do you predict he’ll act?”
“He’s a shit excuse of a human being but he’s also a shrewd businessman. Sure, Skull cares about his useless brother, but he needs this alliance with us more.” Devil carefully kept turning this puzzle piece over and over in his head during their drive back to Redemption. “Give him the guns he asked for, Saint. We can do a test delivery.”
“What if the fucker ends up mounting an assault us and stealing our merchandise?” Saint demanded. A valid point.
“We’ll make it a dummy delivery. There won’t be anything valuable inside that truck just to test the waters. I’ll drive the truck myself.”
Saint blew out a breath. “Fine. I’ll hold you to your word. If this deal goes south, then it’s on you, Devil. If we need to go to war with the Skull Riders MC thanks to your rash actions—”
“We’ll deal with that when it happens,” Devil said. He took a deep breath because it took all of his self-control to keep his anger in check. “Come on, Saint. Other guys have pulled worse shit before. Hell, Snake and Chains picked a fight with a couple of Ramirez’s crew just a week ago.”
“Yeah, but Chains and Snake aren’t blood.”
So that was it. Saint was disappointed because a member of his family screwed up.
“You have high standards when it comes to family,” Devil said drily. “I’m only a man. I’m bound to make a mistake just like anyone.”
Someday, Saint was going to find a woman capable of bringing the President of the Fallen Saints MC to his knees. When that time came, Saint would have no right to judge Devil about the choices he made when it came to saving his woman.
“We’re done?” Devil asked.
“Get the fuck out.”
Devil slammed the door behind him on his way out.

Devil entered the clubhouse’s communal kitchen, intending to make some sandwiches for him and Destiny. Breakfast felt like ages ago. Only two people were there. Hawke and Bonnie.
“Hey, Devil, heard you were back. Things didn’t go as well as planned, huh?” Bonnie asked.
His niece had her laptop and a couple of books out. She looked like she was in the middle of doing a report. Devil kept telling Saint for years that the clubhouse wasn’t the best place to raise a kid, let alone a daughter, but Saint never listened. Saint didn’t trust hiring babysitters, especially after one tried to poison him a couple of years ago. That nanny turned out to be a spy working for a rival club.
“Where did you hear that?” he asked.
“Oh, please. Everyone’s talking about the red-haired beauty that came with you earlier,” Bonnie pointed out.
Ignoring her, Devil assembled a couple of BLT sandwiches while Bonnie and Hawke looked on. He glanced at his fellow MC brother. As usual, the scarred former Marine didn’t say much. Hawk didn’t smile, but he did give Devil a nod. Then again, the other biker only spoke when he had something important to say. Devil was always glad to have Hawke in a fight.
Hawke had been assigned to guard Bonnie ever since that horrendous nanny incident. Sometimes, Devil caught Bonnie casting looks of longing at Hawke. Once, Bonnie had said something to Hawke that made the often-stoic biker smile.
Saint was going to have a field day if these two ever got together.
<
br /> “So,” Bonnie said, blocking his way to the kitchen’s exit. “Who is she?”
“Destiny. I intend to make her my old lady.”
Bonnie furrowed her brow. “Isn’t she too young for you? She’s only a few years older than I am.”
“Age doesn’t matter,” he said. “Shouldn’t you be doing your schoolwork instead of harassing your uncle?”
Bonnie scowled at him. “I’m bored and Hawke says I can’t go out dancing with my friends tonight.”
“Listen to Hawke,” he told her. “Besides, your dad’s not in the best of moods right now. He definitely won’t allow you out of the clubhouse.”
“No thanks to you,” Bonnie grumbled. “When can I meet her? Destiny, I mean.”
“Soon. She needs to rest. Destiny’s been through a lot but I think you guys will hit it off,” he said.
Bonnie was a smart and capable young woman. Hell, he didn’t even know how she turned out decent despite growing up in an MC clubhouse and having Saint for a father. Sure, Saint was a good President, but he was a piss-poor father. Saint always placed the needs of the club first, before anything else.
Bonnie went back to her report. Devil grabbed two beers. With his drinks and sandwiches, he returned to his room. Destiny was still in his bed, an inviting and warm bundle. He gobbled up one sandwich and finished his beer. The rest of the food, he’d leave out for her in case she woke up hungry in the middle of the night.
Devil stripped down to his boxers. He usually slept nude, but he kept his underwear on tonight because he didn’t fully trust himself around Destiny. He curled next to her in bed, pleased she huddled close to him.
Bleary green eyes opened. Destiny looked barely awake. “Where did you go?”
“To have a chat with Saint. I also made you a sandwich, in case you were hungry.”
“Was your brother angry?” she asked, trailing her fingers down his chest. Destiny traced the tattoo of a pouncing tiger there.
Devil still had some space on his skin for new ink. The blank spot right over his left pectoral would soon grace her name. Destiny would always own a piece of his heart.
“He was, but he’ll get over it,” he said.
Devil kissed her slowly on the mouth. The press of her heavy breasts against his chest felt amazing. Too bad she still had her sweater on. He remembered leaving his bite marks on her rose-colored nipples the night before.
Possessiveness rode him, made him slip his hands under her top so he could feel her heated skin. No one would be able to take her away from him.
“Devil, tell me the truth. Are you in trouble?”
The concern in her voice only made him love her even more.
“Nah. Like I said, Saint won’t be mad for long. If trouble comes knocking on my door, then I’ll deal with it. You don’t have to worry about a thing, Destiny. From now on, I’ll take good care of you. Now go to sleep. We’ve had a long day, hadn’t we?”
“Yeah, we did. I’m glad Carl’s gone. Is it wrong for me to think that?” She sounded guilty and he didn’t want her to feel that.
“No. The world’s a better place with one less scum like him,” Devil replied. “He signed his death warrant the moment he came after you.”
Destiny rested her head against his chest and shut her eyes again. This time, Devil instantly fell asleep. They were home and they were safe. That was the only thing that mattered.
Chapter Twelve
Soft rain pelted her skin. Not rain, Destiny realized a moment later. She opened her eyes, still a little groggy from sleep only to find Devil pressing a kiss to the curve of her left shoulder. He flashed a possessive smile at her that didn’t fail to make her pussy wet. Devil slipped his hand under her shirt and gave her left breast a squeeze. Then he moved his other one between her legs to cup her moist pussy.
Destiny moaned, completely awake now. She remembered now. Destiny had woken up in the middle of the night. She wanted a shower because she was still wearing the clothes she’d worn when they buried Carl’s body. After that, she borrowed one of his shirts and slipped back into his bed. Destiny loved sleeping tucked in his arms.
“Good morning, sweetheart,” he murmured against her ear. “Sleep well?”
“I’ve been having nightmares since I’ve started working at the club. I’ve had a sleepless and peaceful sleep last night, thanks to you,” she murmured.
Destiny groaned when Devil rolled on top of her. She stared up at his rough and handsome face. Hunger was evident in his steel-gray eyes. Destiny dragged her gaze down his rock-hard body, to the erection he sported for her under his boxers.
He lowered his mouth to hers. Destiny closed her eyes. One kiss and he transported her elsewhere. Nothing else mattered but the warm press of his mouth against hers. It struck Destiny that she could wake up to the sight of Devil, next to her in bed every single day.
Devil started kissing her neck when there was an abrupt knock on his bedroom door. Her man let out an impatient growl, then peeled himself off her. Destiny watched him storm toward the door. Devil yanked it a couple of inches open, only to yell, “Fuck off,” to whoever was outside.
He closed the door again, locking it behind him.
“I can wait,” she told him. Destiny wasn’t going anywhere.
Waking up like this was the perfect way to start the day. Yesterday, she bid farewell to her past. Destiny accepted her future was closely entwined with Devil’s. She was eager to see where her present led.
“No,” he said.
Devil raised an eyebrow when she slipped out of his bed and approached him. Destiny had never done anything like this before but with Devil, she felt brave and sexy. She knelt in front of him and reached for the hem of his boxers. His breathing turned harsh as she lowered his boxers to unveil his thickening cock. The red rip was already leaking pre-cum.
She wet her lips, already anticipating the moment he’d finally claim her in the most intimate way positive. Devil speared his fingers into her hair and brought her face close, until her mouth touched his cock.
Destiny swirled her tongue over his cock head, tasting his seed. She explored him from tip to root, taking his balls into her mouth. Destiny sucked on them. Devil hummed, tightening his hold on her hair.
In this position, she felt utterly powerful, holding his dick captive. She liked every guttural sound of pleasure she managed to wrangle out of his mouth.
“No games, sweetheart,” he said, voice harsh.
Destiny released his balls then closed her mouth over his shaft. She took his prick down her throat, gagging on the first try. Hallowing out her cheeks, she made her second attempt. Once the tip of his cock hit the back of her throat, Destiny pulled back for air.
Destiny bobbed her head up and down, felt him thicken in her mouth. He gently guided his shaft out of her lips, panting hard.
“I want to finish inside you.”
Her heart started at those words. Seeing the gleam of desire in his eyes sent a shudder of anticipation down her back. Never before had Destiny wanted any man so much.
“Bed,” he ordered.
She clambered back into his bed, peeling away her shirt. Devil took off his boxers as well. Devil patted the edge of the bed. Destiny scooted downward. Devil made a quick trip to the bathroom, only to return with a condom. He tore off the packaging and slipped it over his cock.
Devil positioned himself between her legs, and he hefted them over his shoulders. She blushed, because from this angle, he could see all of her—her pink pussy dripping wet for him and her ass hole.
“From this moment onward, every inch of your sweet body belongs to me,” he said, stroking the folds of her pussy.
“Yes,” she murmured, unable to string two sentences together.
Her nipples ached, and her pussy longed to be filled. Devil nudged his prick between her thighs. He pushed in, slowly and carefully. Destiny curled her fingers into the sheets above her. God, but he was huge. She breathed in and out, amazed he managed to squeeze all t
he way in.
Devil buried himself to the hilt, resting his balls against the curve of her ass. He kept his gaze trained on her the entire time. Destiny felt vulnerable under him, completely exposed, and yet she wasn’t afraid to let her guard down around him. Devil would never betray her. He’d keep her most intimate secrets.
He gripped her hips, blanketed his body over hers, and began to ride her. Devil covered her mouth with his, thrusting heat down her throat. He fucked her, strokes steady and slow at first before he started building momentum. Destiny found herself moving with him, her pebbled tits rubbing against his warm chest.
Sweat coated their bodies. Devil reduced them to panting and moaning animals. Each time their bodies collided, Destiny felt like a piece of her soul floated away from her body to touch his. Devil switched the angle of his entry. She gasped, eyes flying wide open as he brushed against her G-spot. Devil grinned at her and kept aiming for that special, sensitive place.
Destiny arched her back as he pounded against her, going faster and deeper with each turn. The room fell away from her line of sight. She dug her fingers into his shoulders. Devil didn’t seem to care she left nail marks all over his skin.
His last push sent Destiny spiraling over the edge of oblivion. Her vision blurred. She splintered, screaming out his name and coming all over his cock. Devil pistoned in and out of her several more times before reaching climax.
He pulled his softening cock out of her. Devil disposed of the condom before settling next to her in bed again. She curled against him, feeling completely content and sated. Destiny trailed her fingers over the ink over his chest.
This particular design was that of a hawk with its wings outstretched, its feathers curling over his left arm. For a moment, they didn’t speak. Destiny gathered her thoughts, readied the words she wanted to tell him.
“You asked me a question yesterday,” she told him.
“I did. Be my old lady, Destiny,” he said. “Be mine. Be part of my family. The Fallen Saints MC would be your home.”
